Project Proposal

An AGN SC Project is any scientific investigation or infrastructure development undertaken within the AGN SC environment. Projects are collaborative from the start, allowing members to contribute and provide feedback, ensuring transparency throughout the process.

Once approved, projects are recorded in the AGN SC Project Database, a searchable resource that provides visibility into ongoing projects and connects researchers with shared interests and expertise.

This form is used to propose new projects within the AGN SC. Proposals should be submitted early to allow for feedback and potential collaboration. After submission, the Publication Panel will review the proposal for alignment with ethical standards and collaboration policies. Approved projects will be announced, inviting further contributions from the AGN SC.

Please complete the following sections with as much detail as possible to facilitate a thorough review and effective project coordination.

Project Details
Provide a clear and concise summary of your project, including its objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes. Please outline the key scientific goals, the approach you plan to take, and any relevant context or background information. If applicable, highlight potential collaborations, data sources, or tools you intend to use. Additionally, describe the planned phases, key tasks, and major milestones of the project, along with the project members likely responsible for each. If preliminary work has already been conducted, summarize the current project status and any relevant findings or progress.
Select the primary subgroup for this project. If multiple subgroups are relevant, list them in the project description.
Please indicate any anticipated project deliverables (paper, dataset, software), or whether you are seeking collaborators to develop a project (research idea).
Indicate whether the proposed project is going to use proprietary Rubin data and hence requires Rubin/LSST data rights.
Should this project results in a peer-reviewed publication, do you consent to its review by an Early Career Review Panel (ECRP)? The ECRP consists of up to three early-career scientists who will conduct an in-depth review and provide feedback. In recognition of their contributions, they will be included in the alphabetical listing of supporting authors, as outlined in Section 6.2 (Author Lists) of the LSST AGN SC Publication Policy.
